FAQ

Straight answers.

What the score is, what the AI is allowed to do with your CV, where your files live, and how the beta works. If your question isn’t here, ask us — the contact address is in the Privacy Policy.

The score

What is a job fit score?

A job fit score is a 1–10 measure of how well a specific posting matches your actual experience across six weighted dimensions. ScoredWell scores skills match, location and work eligibility, seniority match, growth potential, compensation, and company prestige, then weights them into one number and a verdict: Strong Fit, Moderate Fit, Stretch, or Skip. The full method is written up plainly.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT writes whatever you ask it to; ScoredWell first decides whether the role is worth writing for at all. It scores the fit, then drafts a CV and cover letter drawn only from your real résumé, and every document passes a critique gate for accuracy and tone before you see it.

Can ChatGPT write my CV?

Yes — and for a role that genuinely fits you, it can do a decent job. Three things go wrong in practice: it pads thin experience with confident filler, it invents numbers that were never in your résumé, and it has no opinion on fit — it will happily polish an application for a role that was never a match. ScoredWell is built to prevent all three.

Why would it tell me to Skip?

Because some roles are a poor match for your profile today. A Skip verdict means the posting scored below 4 against your six dimensions — that is the product working, not failing. It points your effort where it fits, and a Skip costs you nothing.

Your CV and the kit

Does AI make things up on my CV?

No. A code check rejects any number or claim that isn't already in your résumé. That is code, not a prompt: every number in a rewritten line must already exist in the line it came from, or the draft is rejected and regenerated. If a claim can't be traced to your own file, it doesn't ship.

What do I actually get for an application?

An application kit: a tailored CV and cover letter as editable Word documents, with a company snapshot available on demand before you apply. Each document passes a critique gate — deterministic code checks first, then a model review — and the kit is marked Ready only when all of them pass. You generate a kit yourself, per role, when one is worth it. You can see a finished kit in the product tour.

Which job postings does it work with?

Most of them. Paste a link and postings on the major applicant-tracking systems — Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, Recruitee, Workable — auto-fill their details; you can also search live listings inside the app. If a page can't be read automatically, paste the description by hand and it scores exactly the same.

Will it apply to jobs for me?

No. ScoredWell scores, writes, and tracks — it never submits anything on your behalf. You download the finished documents, apply where you decide to, and stay in control of every send.

Your data

What happens to my résumé when I upload it?

It goes into private, access-controlled storage that only your own account can read. To do the work, parts of it are processed by the AI providers we use: OpenAI and Anthropic process your résumé and profile content to score fit, draft documents, and run the quality review; Google's Gemini sees an upload only when it is a scanned or image-based file that needs text recognition. The full sub-processor list is in the Privacy Policy.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your résumé and files live in a private store scoped to your account — nothing you upload is visible to other users or pooled into a shared corpus. Every third-party service that touches your data is disclosed by name, with exactly what it receives and why.

Can I delete my data?

Yes — from your profile, at any time. Deleting removes your résumé, reference files, generated documents, and tracker history. You don't have to email anyone or wait on a support queue.

The beta

How do beta invites work?

Join the waitlist, and we invite in small batches as spots open up. Every account is reviewed by the founder before an invite goes out, which is why we don't promise a date. When your spot opens, you'll get an email. The waitlist form is on the home page.

What does it cost during the beta?

Nothing. ScoredWell is free during the invite-only beta, and no card is required. Paid plans come after the beta, with provisional pricing published in advance.

Can I see it before I request an invite?

Yes. There is a product tour with real screens — the tracker, a scored role, and a finished kit — and it needs no account. Take the tour.

ScoredWell is in invite-only beta — free while it lasts, invites in small batches.
